It is designed for use as an intermediate layer as part of the TC 400 - 4 Coat System and the TC 500 - 5 Coat System. Typical Applications: • When used as part of the TC 400 - 4 Coat System: Interior and exterior concrete walkways, patios, balconies, breezeways, building entrance areas, and stairways. • When used as part of the TC 500 - 5 Coat System: Concrete parking garage decks, turn lanes, and ramps, plus all pedestrian applications listed above. Advantages: • Moisture cured • Seamless waterproofing membrane • Single component - easy to apply Substrate Preparation: • All surfaces must be sloped according to industry standards to facilitate water removal. All water must drain and/or evaporate within 48 hours. • All surfaces must be dry, free from loose sand, dirt, dust and other foreign substances that could interfere with adhesion. • AQUAFIN-TC125 is designed to be placed directly over AQUAFINTC100M base coat. Refer to the current AQUAFIN-TC100M Technical Data Sheet for surface preparation, mixing and installation instructions and cure times. Pay attention to recoat times and application windows. Ensure the surface of base coat is dry, clean and free from any bond inhibiting materials such as dust, dirt, sand, etc. • Expansion and control joints are to be prepared in accordance with project specifications. Jobsite Preparation: • Only proceed with application when ambient and surface temperatures are minimum 50°F (10°C) and rising, and more than 6°F (3°C) above dew point. Temperatures must be maintained within this range for at least 24 hours after the installation. Do NOT proceed with application when the temperatures drop below 50°F (10°C) or if precipitation is imminent. Mixing: • Use chemical resistant (Nitrile) gloves and goggles when mixing or applying AQUAFIN-TC125. • For ease of mixing and placement, the temperature of AQUAFINTC125 should be between 70°F to 80°F (21°C to 27°C). • Open AQUAFIN-TC125 container and mix for 1 - 2 minutes until streak free mixture is obtained. Thoroughly scrape the sides of pail as material is mixed. Boxing material is recommended to ensure color uniformity. • Use caution not to whip air into the material as this may result in pinhole blisters and/or shortened pot life. Do not mix in an up and down motion. Installation: Read all instructions thoroughly prior to installation. • AQUAFIN-TC125 is designed for use as part of the TC 400 - 4 Coat System or the TC 500 - 5 Coat System. See illustration and chart located at the bottom of page 4 of this Technical Data Sheet. • Codes and regulations will vary between cities, counties, municipalities, states and federal divisions. All layers in the 4 Coat or 5 Coat System may be required. This includes the use of PRO-Tekt SP (Sealant Primer), even if concrete surface conditions do not appear to warrant the use of a primer. Refer to project drawings and specifications and always follow all applicable codes and requirements. • For best results, apply AQUAFIN-TC125 using a notched squeegee or a notched trowel. A phenolic resin core roller may be used but extra care should be taken not to trap air which may result in bubbles. • Apply AQUAFIN-TC125 in a continuous coating (wet on wet) application to minimize lines and/or streaking. • For warm weather applications [above 75°F (24°C)], keep product Page 1 of 4

AQUAFIN-TC125 containers out of direct sunlight. Notes: Always verify that the proper WFT (wet film thickness) has been achieved by measuring each coat using a wet film gauge. As a minimum, it is recommended to check the mil thickness in every corner, plus the center areas of the application area. Large areas will require many check points. When applying multiple, thinner coats, verify that the total DFT (dry film thickness) meets the stated requirements. See coverage chart for minimum WFT mil guidelines and DFT mil requirements. TC 400 - 4 Coat System (Pedestrian Traffic): • P rimer: Apply PRO-Tekt SP (Sealant Primer) at a rate of 300 ft2 per gal (7.4 m2 per liter) to achieve a 4 mils (0.1 mm) DFT (dry film thickness). Refer to the current PRO-Tekt SP Technical Data Sheet for surface preparation, mixing and application instructions. Allow PRO-Tekt SP to cure (to touch) until no longer tacky [typically 3 - 5 hours at 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity]. • Base Coat: Once PRO-Tekt SP is tack-free, apply AQUAFIN-TC100M base coat within 10 hours. Apply AQUAFIN-TC100M at a rate of 40 - 50 ft2 per gal (1.0 – 1.2 m2 per liter) to achieve achiev a minimum of 32 mils WFT (wet film thickness) [23 (± 2) mils DFT (dry film thickness)]. Do not apply sand broadcast. Refer to the current AQUAFIN-TC100M Technical Data Sheet for mixing and application instructions. Allow base coat of AQUAFIN-TC100M to cure [typically16 hours at 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity]. • Intermediate Coat: Apply AQUAFIN-TC125 intermediate coat within 24 hours after the application of AQUAFIN-TC100M base coat. Apply AQUAFIN-TC125 at a rate of 85 – 100 ft2 per gal (2.0 - 2.4 m2 per liter) to achieve a minimum of 16 mils WFT (wet film thickness) [12 (± 2) mils DFT (dry film thickness)]. • Immediately (within 2 minutes) after application, broadcast clean, dry, washed, oven dried, rounded silica sand, 20 mesh (0.84 mm), 6.5+ Mohs minimum hardness at a rate of 10 - 15 lbs/100 ft2 (0.5 - 0.75 kg/m2) and a immediately backroll sand into the wet coating so that the sand is fully encapsulated. The aggregate should be applied vertically, allowing it to fall onto the AQUAFIN-TC125. Allow intermediate coat of AQUAFIN-TC125 to cure [typically16 hours at 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity]. • Top Coat: Apply AQUAFIN-TC150AL top coat within 36 hours after application of AQUAFIN-TC125 intermediate coat. Apply AQUAFINTC150AL at a rate of 85 – 100 ft2 per gal (2.0 - 2.4 m2 per liter) to achieve a minimum of 16 mils WFT (wet film thickness) [12 (± 2) mils DFT (dry film thickness)]. Refer to the current AQUAFIN-TC150AL Technical Data Sheet for mixing and application instructions. A sand broadcast on the AQUAFIN-TC150AL top coat is optional. Allow top coat of AQUAFIN-TC150AL to cure [typically16 hours at 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity]. • Total System Thickness: 64 mils WFT (45 to 57 mils DFT) not including sand aggregate broadcast. TC 500 - 5 Coat System (Heavy Vehicular Traffic): • P rimer: Apply PRO-Tekt SP (Sealant Primer) at a rate of 300 ft2 per gal (7.4 m2 per liter) to achieve a 4 mils (0.1 mm) DFT (dry film thickness). Refer to the current PRO-Tekt SP Technical Data Sheet for surface preparation, mixing and application instructions. Allow top coat of AQUAFIN-TC150AL to cure [typically16 hours at 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity]. • Total System Thickness: Thicknes 86 mils WFT (59 to 75 mils DFT) not including sand aggregate broadcast. Protection and Curing: • Protect AQUAFIN-TC125 and all layers in the four-layer system from traffic and work by other trades until the application of the final top coat of AQUAFIN-TC150AL is finished. • Allow at least 96 hours [based on 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity] before permitting pedestrian traffic on the finished surface after application of AQUAFIN-TC150AL as the final top coat. • Allow at least 120 hours [based on 75°F (24°C) and 50% relative humidity] before permitting vehicular traffic on the finished surface after application of AQUAFIN-TC150AL as the final top coat (as part of the TC 500 - 5 Coat System). • AQUAFIN-TC125 and all other layers in the four-layer system are sensitive to heat and moisture. Higher ambient or higher surface temperatures, or high humidity will accelerate the cure time. Cooler ambient or cooler surface temperatures, or low humidity will extend the curing time. Care and Maintenance: • A weekly cleaning routine is recommended for busy areas and will help extend the life of the pedestrian traffic coating system. • Sweep or vacuum the top surface, and then clean it with a wet mop. AQUAFIN-TC125 • For occasional heavy cleaning, the use of a pressure washer (maximum 1,000 psi) is recommended along with a low suds, bio degradable detergent. It is important to thoroughly rinse the area and remove all traces of residue and detergent to prevent a slipping hazard. • Solvent-based cleaners may cause damage to the pedestrian traffic coating system and are not recommended. • Leaves, rusted metal, soil from plants, and other stain-causing materials can result in permanent discoloration to the top coat of the pedestrian traffic coating system. Refer to the current AQUAFIN-TC150AL Technical Data Sheet and see Recoating and Repairs section when staining has occurred. Clean-up: Immediately clean all equipment and tools with polyurethane-grade solvent (alcohol free). Limitations: • Do not thin AQUAFIN-TC125 with solvents or dilute in any manner. • High temperatures/high humidity will result in shortened working times. • Contact Aquafin Technical Department or your local Aquafin Representative for guidance in jobsite conditions outside the stated limits. • Once containers have been opened, use material as soon as possible. • Color may vary due to batch-to-batch variation, always “box” different batches to avoid it. • Do not use on applications including split slabs, buried membrane, sandwich slabs with insulation, slabs over unvented metal pan, magnesite and non-structural lightweight concrete. Contact Aquafin Technical Department with questions. • Pedestrian traffic coating systems are not replacements for proper repairs on damaged, deteriorated, or cracked concrete structures. • If concrete repairs are needed, consult a licensed Engineer and ask an Aquafin Representative about Aquafin concrete repair products. • Not recommended as a substitute for roofing over occupied space. Note: Proper application is the sole responsibility of the user. Applicators are expected to follow ICRI and ACI guidelines as well as other applicable industry standards. Aquafin personnel or representatives are not site inspectors or construction project managers and therefore do not approve surface preparation, mixing, or application of Aquafin products. Site visits by Aquafin personnel or representatives are solely for the purpose of STONE GRAY making technical recommendations, not for providing supervision or quality control.
Packaging: • AQUAFIN-TC125 is available in a Light Gray or Tan color. • 5-gal pail (18.9 liters) NOTE: Sand is not included in kits. Storage and Shelf Life: Storage: Store material between 60°F to 90°F (16°C to 32°C) in a dry environment and out of direct sunlight. Shelf Life: 1 year in original unopened container. General Information: All details in particular to the suggestions for the processing and use of the product is based on our present knowledge and experiences at the time of printing. Depending on specific applications, in particular regarding substrates, processing and environmental conditions may affect final results. Safety: Refer to SDS. For commercial use only. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles during mixing and application. After contact with skin, wash with plenty of water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

This product must be used as directed and within its stated shelf life. AQUAFIN INC. will replace or at our discretion refund the purchase price of any product, excluding cost of labor, which is proven to be defective. Our product recommendations are based on industry standards and testing procedures. It is the buyer’s obligation to test the suitability of the product for an intended use prior to using it. We assume no warranties written, expressed, or implied as to any specific methods of application or use of the product. We do not guarantee compatibility of Aquafin products with other brands. For this reason, we strongly recommend application of a sample area at the jobsite to help determine suitability with other products. AQUAFIN INC. Notes: Application rates and yield values are approximate. Actual coverage may vary due to substrate variances. Failure to achieve the required DFT will compromise the effectiveness of the product and void the warranty. It is the applicator’s responsibility to verify that the required dry mil thickness has been attained. Applications with broadcast do not include sand aggregate in the DFT measurement. The required DFT must be achieved neat. The sand aggregate broadcast will add additional thickness. WFT (wet film thickness) and DFT (dry film thickness) requirements are provided in mils.
